What is the Extended Essay?

A formal piece of academic writing, in the student's chosen area of study.
The final product will be approximately 4000 words long, followed by a 3-part reflection of no more than 500 words.
Students will put in around 40 hours of work to complete the Extended Essay.
Students will be mentored by a supervisor, with 3-5 hours of supervision and 3 mandatory reflection sessions.
The process ends with the viva voce - a final reflection session with their supervisor.
